Poured a bit lighter than I anticipated. The head lingered for only a moment before leaving a fine white lace. Sweet, and slightly oily in the mouth with a slight alcohol and pepper burn. I tasted a little fruit, bananas maybe.....or plums. A little more burn on the end, but VERY tasty. Two was enough for me at one sitting.

A decent strong ale. Pours a clear orange with little head. Smells of tropical fruit. Taste is very boozy and malty, with a licorice finish. Had in the bottle.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2014 25 cl/250 ml, flaske, 13,0 % ABV, gave fra Handschuh, hjembragt fra Frankrig - tak! 8. oktober 2014. Brød-noter. Senere alkohol i næsen.

"A malty, sweet brew. Smells and tastes a little too hot, and the body is not quite heavy enough to support the abv. While not bad (the bozzy spicy sweet flavor is nice enough) it has it faults, and was pretty rough around the edges.

8.4 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: film white head, orange copper color, clear, light lacing. Aroma: booze, biscuits, caramel, light fruit. Palate: light-medium body, thin alcoholic texture, alcoholic warming, soft carbonation. Taste: caramel and biscuit sweetness, light fruit candy sweetness, alcoholic taste in middle and again at end. Overall, balance is lacking, overly sweet and boozy, but for the lack of balance, booziness could be worse. I do enjoy the texture of the beer. Worth trying, but nothing special.

Gift from Terry --- Clear medium bright orange amber, bubbly head cover, bubbly lace. Taste is very sweet orange caramel malt with spices that grows quite alcoholic in a noticeably bitter finish. Definitely strong, in a way that doesn’t quite work.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear golden with quickly diminishing low off-white head. Aroma is alcoholic, sweet, syrup, date honey, yeasty, malty. Very sweet flavor, date honey, malty, plums, notes of banana. Medium to full body. Sweet sticky aftertaste.

A dark yellow beer with a white and quite weak head. The nose is malty and honeyish sweet, some pear like fruitness, and some alcohol. Taste is fruitful and malty, sweetness of honey an black peppers. Unfortunately, the alcohol cannot stay in hidden. Almost full bodied, low carbonation, quite easy to drink. Too much of bothering alcohol, but not totally ruined. Fruiful malts.

Fin mauvais alcool..
