Some hop aroma. Bronze mid brown coloured and fruity with a blackcurrant flavour. A hint of dryness and bitterness in a malt finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Served with a wedge of lime on the rim. Dark brown color with some red highlights and an off-white head. Toasty and lightly roasty malt, and light corn in the aroma. Light caramel and roasted malt flavors and a clean lager feel. Similar to Negra Modelo bit roastier and dryer. Light body and smooth texture. Pretty nice.

Aroma: Dark roasted coffee aroma with smoke lingering.
Appearance: Light Black in color, Clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Dark roasted flavors with a coffee flavor that was very strong. The smoked malt was there but needed to be stronger.
Palate: Dry coffee finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: The beer was very good for the day it was average. This was a tough festival to be average at.

Tap @ Brewpub: Dark mahogany, nice head and light lacing. Nose of light smoke, sweet char and dried fruit. The flavor is chewy, light raisin and other sweetness. Some light diacetyl. Finishes a bit thin, decent mouthfeel though. A bit too shy I’m thinking.
