Angeloregon (1969), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 18, 2008 On tap at Bend Brewing’s Brew Pub on Mirror Pond in Bend, Oregon--Poured a hazy orange-amber body with a soft creamy whitish head. Gentle, piquant, floral hoppy nose with a slight biscuit malt flavor. Crisp, flowery, hoppy with a great bitter finish. Excellent beer! harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Feb 11, 2006 Updated: Mar 21, 2006Huge fruity nose, some herbal hoppiness, and the flavor is quite nice. Enveloping your palate, with some rich creaminess from the malts and a very defined hop profile. The flavors distringuish themselves individually, instead of coming together all at once as a balanced beer. Very clean and crisp, and easy to drink, just very run of the mill.
Re-rate @ Brewery - The first thing I notice is the massive lacingleftover after the initial head dies. This is a good looking beer. Big hoppy aroma, monster grapefruit, flavor is passionfruit and guava, very juicy and fruity, concentrated almost pulpy and tropical, unique and delicious, this is like drinking a completely different beer from the time I had it at the Bier Stein. Amazing malt character and a fruity lingering finish. ABUSEDGOAT (1915), California, USA Nov 3, 2006 Updated: Jan 17, 2008Amber body. Aroma is hugely hoppy with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine, more fruits, the works. Flavor and balance are nearly flawless. Doesn’t offer huge complexity, but it’s still liquid hop juice after having it over a year later. fakepurseninja (547), Sammamish, Washington, USA Jul 22, 2008 Very hoppy nose - big white head atop a cloudy yellow body. BIg biscuity malt backone with very floral hops. Pretty dry and very well balanced. Somewhat citrusy. Fantastic IPA. Aubrey (2603), Denver, Colorado, USA Nov 30, 2003 Elk Lake IPA: Deep amber with a reddish hue. Nice carbonation level, with a nice texture that had some real weight to it. Fruity (grapefruit), juicy and aromatic, with big notes of pine and flowers. Healthy bitterness, too. Tasty, nicely balanced IPA.
