4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle shared by my nephew on a recent trip to Denver - Thanks Andy!! Beautiful pour that shows a large off white head and an orange/yellow body. Nice citrus rind aroma that is not overstated, and blends well with some lighter fruity aromas and hints of toffee. Very clean palate, deliciously smooth with a medium body. What really struck me about this beer was the balance. Solid, light malty backbone holds up well to the predominately citrus rind bitterness. Very nice all the way around. Too bad the distribution is so limited, but at least the folks in Bend have got a winner with this.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Smells like orange peel. Shiny gold color. Aftertaste not nasty until a while later. Ben surprised, said it is very bitter but not complex. Maybe I don?t like complex beers.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wonderful nose, piney, honey, floral hops. Flavor isn’t as complex as the aroma would lead you to believe. An unfortunate one trick pony, but one which should please any true hop head.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at the brewpub. 4 oz sampler.
A: Orange gold color and thin white head.
N: Orange syrup, onion, biscuit, pine, burnt brown sugar, marshmallow, and mary jane.
T: Quite bitter, moderately sweet.
M: Heavy resinous body, some burn, prickly carbonation.
O: Not a great DIPA. Some hops shine through, but this just doesn’t get a pass in a day when there are so many great examples out there.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Shared in a joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Pours hzzy gold with a white head. Good lacing. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus. Full in body. Alcohol in mouth feel but not bad. Flavor is intense with the fruit citus, and some pine arrives. Earthy, bitter finish. Very good

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Bright orange gold with a steady white layer of foam. Tropical fruit dominates the aroma and the flavor. This has 100 IBUs? Uh, no. At almost 60 F it did get a little more bitter with some grapefruit. This beer was dangerously easy to drink. Really nice to enjoy despite the ABV.

Bomber from brewery. What a find. Nice fruity and juicy aroma. Smells fresh as you can expect. Slightly resony but not overwhelming. In love with this!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
31 oct 2014, bottle. Amber. Nose is granola malt and mild pine hops. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Grassy hops, mildly sweet. Nothing special for a double ipa but decent enough for a pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2014 "pretty light in color and medium bodied. very floral piney aroma with an undercurrent of tropical fruit (i say peach)...also present in the flavor. reminded me a little of sculpin but not as refined. it was quite good, though, and highly quaffable for a double."

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A smooth and very fruity blonde IPA.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh soon after receiving it from mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Cloudy glowing blonde body topped by a small white head.
In long: The hoppy nose is mostly fruity-tropical with also floral notes. In mouth the beer has a doughy texture and with a lively carbonation, kind of a belgian-like mouthfeel. Taste is rather smooth for the style and size of the beer. Soft white bread, very juicy pale color fruits of all kinds, flower petals. A bit sweet but the sweetness is very sweet fresh fruits so at the end I really didn’t mind the sweetness. Bitterness intensity is relatively low for the style which makes the small alcohol bite more apparent. An enjoyable offering. This is not a Double IPA for the bitterness and intensity lover, this is not an intense beer, smooth and round, both refreshing and nourishing at the same time. Two things USA are great at, brewing IPAs and playing baseball, USA makes the best IPAs in the word and they have won each and every baseball World Series.
