AxeMaster221 (343), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 23, 2002 I have fished the Metolius River, which I liked a lot more than the beer named after it. Light amber in color, with a mild hop aroma. A hop flavor, but rather light. leaving the beer seeming a bit bland to me.
anders37 (2992), Malmö, Sweden Dec 24, 2008 draft @ the brewpub. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty flavor with some weak hints of hops. Has a sweetish malty finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste. fakepurseninja (601), Washington, USA Jul 23, 2008 Slightly roasted pale malt backbone with light, citrus hop presence. Nice golden color with a very small white head. Decent all-appealing pour. carboloader (308), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2008 On tap at the Bend pub. This is the only golden ale I’ve ever had that I liked very much. I agree with Abusedgoat that it seems more like a pale ale at first. Pours cloudy yellow with not much aroma, but decent malt, soft hops, and easy, smooth finish. WeeHeavySD (2188), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 12, 2008 1/1/08 At the BrewPub with Bikesandbeer after a day’s drive from Portland, Brewery 5 of the trip. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet and light with a light hoppiness. Taste is sweet with a slight bitterness. SuzyGreenberg (1119), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 14, 2008 sampled @ brewpub - clear and light orange with no head; some hops in aromas and flavors; pretty standard
