WeeHeavySD (1495), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 12, 2008 1/1/08 At the BrewPub with Bikesandbeer after a day’s drive from Portland, Brewery 5 of the trip. Seasonal on tap. Pours dark amber with a bright white head. Nose is light sweet with a little bit of malt. Taste is nice and hoppy, a pretty damn nice hoppy brown. best so far. ABUSEDGOAT (1849), California, USA Jan 17, 2008 Said Brown Ale, assuming this one. Aroma is surprising, has a huge hop aroma like their IPA. Big time citrus and grapefruit aroma. The malts are relatively dominated but still exist and bring notes of coffee and caramel. Medium to light body, moderate bitter finish. Finally another brewer gets some balls and made a brown ale hop bomb. SuzyGreenberg (768), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 14, 2008 sampled @ brewpub - one of four seasonals on tap; thin brown with slight tan head; matly aromas mixed with slight brown sugar; flavors not very sweet; thin texture
