GABF 2007. A smooth, chocolatey palate. Reminiscent of Iron Hill Old Ale. A nice change of pace from the IIPA and imp stout overload of the fest. Very good.
4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Angeloregon (2054) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 26, 2007
I was compelled to return for the second day of the tastival because of this beer. Brewer Tonya Cornett is renowned for her killer brews and this 2006 orange-copper old ale was no exception. Small nose, medium white head, dark bodied and quite malty was this scrumptious brew.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - NOV 21, 2006
Pours a dark red/brown with a light tan head. Very sweet up front but a big hoppy finish balances this out well. Caramel and toffee flavors up front, nice earthy rum flavor to the malts. With all the hops this will age well. Very full bodied and smooth.

Ruby colour with lasting head. Sweet malt aroma. Full flavour with a lasting finish that pleases. Much alcohol warmth.
