Bottle from Mi-orge Mi-Houblon, Arlon. Pours dark brown with brownish-white, stable head. Aroma is flowers, honey, cinnamon, caramel, sawdust. Taste is very sweet, but still refreshing, honey, roasted malt, not very bitter. Feels super-creamy, taste is lingering. Love this beer.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. On the label "#16". A dark brown sparkling beer with light hues at the bottom of my glass ; medium beige head ; medium retention ; average lacing. Aroma of caramel, roast, toast, coffee, prune, herb. Medium sweet ; medium bitter ; light dry ; warming. Medium athletic body, medium (oily) texture, average carbonation, lasting bittersweet finish. Overall, highly drinkable ; round ; fruity ; delicious.

Bottle. Pours brown in color with an off-white head. Nuttyness, dark fruits and cantaloupe honey sweetness in aroma. Some malty notes as well. Bitter sweet taste with nuttyness and some sweet honey being there. In the end some bitter and malty notes appears as well.

Did not really recognize any honey, more of straw and some grainy dominance. Easily drinkable with a bit unbalanced bitterness towards the end. Not bad at all.

Bottle from trade with Calisky - thank you, Fred. The beer has got a dark brown colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of light honey and herbs, malt. Taste of malt, mild herbs, light honey and mild fruits. Bittersweet finish. Nice one to enjoy.

Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher feiner beigen Schaumkrone.

A retester. Bouteille achetée chez Biérocratie, Paris, France, bue le 16/02/2014.

Pours deep brown with amber reflects and a thick tan head. Nose is caramel and nut, with a hint of honey. Aromas are toasted malts, caramel, raisin, white flowers and honey. Finish is bitter-sweet with a honey taste a bit spoiled by alcohol taste.

Another reason to disband the Spcie/Herb/Vegtable category... but that’s not the brewer’s fault. In fact, there is no faulting the brewer here at all. He made a very nice brown ale, with biscuit and toasted malts, sweeter honey notes and a balanced aroma overall. Toasty malts define the taste and ends with a soft bitterness. Very drinkable, despite the heavy carbonation. Well made beer, can match the new Belgian brewers, although in the end I can’t be too bothered by it simple because of the style. (33cl bottle from La Cave à Bulles)
