from Mondial de la Bière 2013, Mulhouse - hazy dark brown beer with a long lasting beige foam and a nice lacework; herbal and with solid notes of honey; full-bodied and very sweet, pretty thick; the finish is mineral, spicy and honeyish with some residual sweetness

bottle, Village de la Bière Strasbourg France. Deep brown colour with a stable beige head. Hints of honey in the nose. Medium-bodied, solid malty base with nice hints of honey. Well-balanced, not too sweet and the honey seems natural and pleasant.

Bottle. A small, dense, dark beige head forms over a clear, dark amber colored body. The aroma is pretty weak, with some dried fruits and caramel. Nutty hints and some chocolate. There’s a little bitterness in the flavor, with the same nutty, chocolatey touch found in the aroma. Caramel does most of the job though. Medium body and a soft carbonation. A touch of honey in the end. Pretty decent. 140117
