Bottle. Dark red pour with thick, creamy off white foam. Aroma is really caramel, malty, butterscotch. Taste is grassy, bitter, with a solid caramel maltiness, kind of English pale ale like. Palate is sweet, med-full bodied with medium carbonation. Not bad at all.

Tap pour@5e Mondial de la Bière, Mulhouse - SO. Cognac-brownish pour, first indication of red being an approximatin here. Fruity nose, mainly peach and citrus blossom. Lean, dry PA palate. Taste is that of an APA, straight to the point, the point being delicious pink grapefruit. Not all that much of a red ale, but nice drink.

bottle, Village de la Bière Strasbourg France. Hazy red-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of aromatic hops, fruity and resiny. Malty base, caramel and hints of dark chocolate. Aromatic hops with a citrsy-fruity and resiny character tune in soon. Very nice.

Bottle from Vilage de la Biere, Biere ambrée no 15 dry hopped with Chinook. Deep amber with good sized beige head. Nice red fruits, some roasted malts, cocoa, lots of fruity hops with citrus and pine. Later more tropical with pineapple. Maybe slightly woody. Medium sweet with bitter finish, medium bodied with full creamy feel. I don't get all the low ratings, this is pretty good stuff IMHO

Bière ambrée. Belle épaisseur de mousse et bonne persistance. Nez houblonné et légèrement vanillé. Entrée de bouche ronde et douce. Goût légèrement torréfié et sucré. Fin de bouche courte et plaisante. Bière bien équilibrée et agréable.

Dark bodied with bubbly lasting head. Lots if cherry, red fruits, cheap indulging chocolate, malty, a funky hint even. Powerful taste, more pronounced than expected with a taste that somewhat abruptly stops, only to leave a plucky fruity tease on the tongue. Full enough body with coke like fizz, a bit odd but nice enough. Appeal fades a bit towards the end but yeah, not very red but certainly tasty enough. (33cl bottle from Chop’in)
