500ml bottle into a Weihenstephan glass. Quite dark for a hefe, amber with voluminous frothy white head. Clove phenolics apparent in the aroma, along with some banana bread. Almost more of a weizenbock in taste - the banana bread is there, with big maltiness, some clove but less than expected from the smell. Light to medium bodied. Quite enjoyable, if not a typical hefeweizen.

Keg at Academie de la Biere - Cathedral, Strasbourg, France. Cloudy orange with white head. Big banana, ester notes, but quite thin on the palate. Some herbal hints, some citrus but quite a struggle for me. Not over keen on this.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle from Jumbo Costanera Center. Pours a cloudy amber/orange color with a massive white pillowy head that diminishes slowly and leaves a film. Aroma is mild, wheaty and a bit spicy. Predominant notes of wheat, banana, spices, grains, dough and white bread. Not bad at all, but not really expressive. Taste is quite neutral, doughy, bready with some light tartness and evanescent fruity flavors. Hints of spice come through but never unfold completely. Light body, low to medium fizzy carbonation. Short, quick finish. Neutral aftertaste. A simple, by-the-book Hefe-weizen, far away from the best of their kind.

Bottle. Hazy golden/light orange body. Medium head. Aroma has banana and peary esters. Some honey and wheat too. Taste has plenty of banana and pear, on the sweet side and I like it. Rich mouthfeel. Even a bit jammy and Weizenbocky minus the alcohol. Really good Hefeweizen, surprisingly underrated here.
