3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2012 On tap at "La casa de la cerveza" in Madrid. Pours a cloudy, quite dark colour for a weissbier. Soapy white head. Aroma of hay and malts. Didn’t get much from the smell. Flavour are quite sour, but also really fresh; citrus and malts are most present here, but also som orange peels. A lot of carbonatiln, but that just gives the beer more of a fresh feel. A really enjoyable weissbier in my opinion.

Cloudy golden / dark orange color, really big white head. Light aroma, but very drinkable. Hints of banana. Medium body, average carbonation. Sweet, short and dry finish. Great for a price.

With dark golden colour and amazing white foam this is one really good wheat beer. No special aroma, but very nice taste and easy drinkable.

Bottle from Alko. Typical hazy orange colour with thick foamy head. Quite dry flavour and not so fruity either, only some banana. Light and simple hefeweizen, there’s so much better options even here in Finland.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A color of dark amber with a big, rocky white head - a handsome appearance. Aroma is very typical for a wheat beer: it has wheatish maltiness, cloves and some banana. Taste is sweetish and also light sour. Banana is not very strong but noticeable. Round and quite smooth maltiness fills the mouth when drinking; the body is medium in strength, the carbonation soft. The palate displays the difference between proper wheat beers like this and their lighter counterparts. No surprises here but enjoyable to drink anyway.

Botella 50cl en Carrefour. Alemana de trigo muy rica. Quizá no tanto como la Weihenstephaner o Franzisksner pero es muy disfrutable. Muy buen aroma y sabor.

Cloudy honey amber with some sparkling and good creamy and long white head. Looks great. Lots of wheat in aroma, bit banana and coriander, sweet. Light to medium body, light feel but not watery, easy to drink, soft carbonation, bit spiceness balancing, Semisweet. That’s the way I love my weissbier, thing done great and balance and character match this. Enjoyment!

From draft in good shape. Multiple glasses. Amber-hued body under a properly billowy head. Sugar cookie, wheat malt, toast / bread crust, a little dough. Lots of bright esters and phenols: herbs, wood, spice, a touch of peppercorn boldness. Frothy, fine carbonation with a soft malt body made more doughy by the yeast. Off-dry and lightly tart, medium to low bitterness, high minerality, acids are bright but don’t overwhelm. This sits firmly in amber-weisse territory, the higher kilned malt give it a caramelized sugar savoriness to go with the bread crust / toast character, and the esters shy away from the banana and apple character I dislike in weissebier yeast.
