Whole Foods, Bowery 50cl ($3): Pours a light cloudy amber with a nice weizen head. Aroma is mostly banana and spice.Taste is sweet, almost bubblegummy. Not too much carbonation. Pretty good hefeweizen.

500 ml bottle from Oliver’s Beverage Center. Date on bottle neck reads 3/29/2013. After opening and drinking I’m sure that is a best before date. That being said, it was still real decent. Darker than normal Weiss color, real hazy amber with lasting head. Malty caramel with light yeast esters. Effervescent body with semi-sweet banana and light clove. I would love to re-rate and find this on draft. A maltier example of a style I love.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 On tap at Independent Café in Luxemburg. It had a slightly sour smell with some fruits. The sourness was present in the taste as well. Not sure if this is intentional or an infection. It did have the usual wheat beer aromas. Re-rated on tap at the same pub. The sourness wasn’t present so must have been a misstreated keg. Very sweet though.

Draft at World of Beer Fort Myers. Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white foam. Nice banana on the nose. Big estery notes on the tongue blend nicely with the banana and clove notes. Finishes clean. Nice example of style.

50cl bottle @Kitty´s. Poured hazy and dark orange with a frothy white head. Aroma was fruity, apricot came to mind, also wheat and yeast. Flavor had banana, wheat, clove and sweet fruits. Way too sweet to be really enjoyable. Aroma was nice.

Hazy orange with decent lacy head. Although the flavour is not strong it is well balanced. Lies on the spicy side with a little bit of orangey sweetness.

Dark cloudy amber color. Nice nose of apples and cinnamon with a hint of cloves. Light body, lots of cloves, spices. Estery. Modest acidity. Refreshing finish. Pretty decent stuff.

500mL bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Bottled about 8 months ago. The aroma has a sweet, sherry-like oxidized character. Light husky malts, and some metallic. Mostly oxidation, though. Hazy honey-amber body with a medium, fairly strong, fizzy creamy white head present. Starts with a bit of a sweet sugary character. Light molasses and sherry in the middle. Finishes slightly metallic. Oxidized as all shit. Figured this would be somewhat fresh, seeing it was brand new to the Beer Shoppe, but it was not. Unfortunate this stuff can’t get here in a timely fashion.
