Bottle - this is a might fine looking beer - effervescent body - thick, creamy, lasting head - the rest doesn’t match, but isn’t bad - a little thin on the palate - a bit of bubblegum - a little sweet, overripe bananas, apples - a light acidity - a little bit of spiciness in the finish - lacks the depth of character you want from the style, but okay.

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, slightly hazy orange pour with big fluffy white head, aroma brings notes of grain, vanilla, biscuit, nice yeast notes, hints of banana, slight coriander in there. Taste is a mix of grain, slight biscuit, hints of honey, vanilla, into slight pear, touch of banana but restrained, finishing sweet, slightly bitter.

50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours cloudy orange colour with medium head. Aroma of lightly sour apricot which reminds me of saisons, light caramel, grass, wheat and distant notes of banana. Flavour of apricot and wheat. Medium-bodied, medium co2. Well balanced and surprisingly refreshing.

The aroma is completely off style sweet and fruity with toffee, vanilla, and rye bread. The appearance is hazy amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a bit of leaves. The palate is thin but OK. Overall a weird beer not totally bad but I wouldn’t have guessed it was a Hef.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a white frothy head. Aroma of sweet fruity and citrusy fruits. Flavour of wheat, fruits, citrus and some toffee. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a fruity, slightly dry finish. Refreshing.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2012
Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with an enormous creamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was tart sugar, taffy, clove and bread. The flavor was tart citrus, clove, anise, honey and bread. Long finish with citrus, bread, clove and honey lingering. Moderately full bodied. Solid if unspectacular.

The first new weiss I have had in a long time that is worth talking about. This is a quality, classic German Hefeweizen. Beautiful beer, with a tall white head, and different shades of orange color, it looks like egg yolk when the last swirl with sediment goes in. Aroma has wheat and light fruit. Sweet flavor, with more wheat, some citrus, and banana. This is good. Thick palate.

DSG (3927) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 11, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy dark orange color with a big white head. Sweet wheaty aroma with banana, some fruit-flavored bubblegum, light citric notes, a bit of caramel and some spicy hints. Sweetish flavor with wheat, fruits, a hint of malt and light sourish hints towards the finish. Medium-bodied. A pleasant, refeshing, mellow Weissbier.
