50cl Bottle from Vomar Noordwijk. Brewed for Benediktiner Weissbräu in Ettal, by Licher, so my bottle says. Hazy golden orange colour, dense off-white head. Aroma of sweet banana, clove, yeast, wheat, typical Hefeweizen fare. Flavour is medium-sweet, spicy, clove, banana, some light-refreshing wheat, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied, firm carbonation. Decent Weizen.

Bottle - this is a might fine looking beer - effervescent body - thick, creamy, lasting head - the rest doesn’t match, but isn’t bad - a little thin on the palate - a bit of bubblegum - a little sweet, overripe bananas, apples - a light acidity - a little bit of spiciness in the finish - lacks the depth of character you want from the style, but okay.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at William K Kurvi, 20120422) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was quite large, dense and white. Aroma had clove, banana and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, clove, banana, malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. Nice and clean hefeweizen with a watery and short finish.

Countbeer (5337) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 22, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Hazy orange colored beer with a medium sized vast white head. After a hard dat of work this one tastes very fine. Easy and prett balanced. Mostly wheat, light bitter, hint of banana and some dried herbs. Aftertaste is nice bitter with bitter wheat. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

On tap at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Cloudy amber with a dense cream head; light clove araoma; sweet banana and clove taste with a smooth grainy body; and a bubblegum candy fruity finish. A pretty classic Hefeweizen.

Beer5000 (5125) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 25, 2014
Sampled at VANØ annual meeting 2014. Slightly unclear golden body with a huge, foamy white head that stays. Aroma is a bit weak but standard weissbier. Banana, bubblegum, cloves and slightly citric. Same goes for the flavor. Typical weissbier, but a bit weak and rather uninteresting. Medium body and average to slightly short aftertaste. Totally drinkable, simple, straight forward weissbier.

11.2oz bottle. Cloudy orange body. Massive foamy white head. Not such an impressive aroma, not such an impressive taste. Drinkable, but this is one of the easiest styles out there. Tastes like a sub-par brewpub example, not exactly what you’d expect from a German. Some buttery sweet caramel tones underneath. Not one I’d go back for more of.

The first new weiss I have had in a long time that is worth talking about. This is a quality, classic German Hefeweizen. Beautiful beer, with a tall white head, and different shades of orange color, it looks like egg yolk when the last swirl with sediment goes in. Aroma has wheat and light fruit. Sweet flavor, with more wheat, some citrus, and banana. This is good. Thick palate.

0.5 l bottle at Tuulensuu, Tampere. Hazy yellow brown color. Very tart aroma with ripe fruits, clove, pepper and vanilla. Dry bready and tart flavor with overripe fruits. A bit different weizen, not bad.
