4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Creamy and dense, whipped up cappuccino foam of white holds a good inch and a half above a hazy, honey amber body. The carbonation fine and bountiful; the lacing enviable. A hint of salted caramel underlies plump, ripe banana and strawberries esters, vanilla icecream and toasted wheat malt on the nose. Boldly flavoured palate full of toasted wheat, tart berries, roasted nuts, caramel and sticky banoffee. Sprightly carbonation softens as it heads towards the tonsils becoming quite smooth and creamy. Good length and residually sweet and malty and hinting at fresh baked biscuits and vanilla icecream. It is a veritable dessert of a weizen. The phenols are evident, clove-like but held low; a woody edge peaks through. Meaty, chunky body; deliciously flavoured and balanced. This is a great weissebier. I loved it. Need more now. The first new weiss I have had in a long time that is worth talking about. This is a quality, classic German Hefeweizen. Beautiful beer, with a tall white head, and different shades of orange color, it looks like egg yolk when the last swirl with sediment goes in. Aroma has wheat and light fruit. Sweet flavor, with more wheat, some citrus, and banana. This is good. Thick palate.

Had off draft at wob cap hill. Dark gold color. Aroma of phenols, banana’y bubblegum. Sips with a dry bitterness up front which is nice. Big carbonation stings the tongue in a great way. Medium bodied, and slightly creamy texture. Slight diacetyl.

I really enjoyed 3x 50l of this on draught at Don Bratwurst, a German bar off-the-beaten track in Barcelona. It was poured cold, not much aroma initially: some candy sugar, banana skin, later some honey and pineapple as it warmed. Appearance: abundant white persistent foam, loose, sprite carbonation rising up through the light amber haze. Just a little acidity/sourness to make the mother water, some sweet biscuit malts. Long linger which smooths out. Very easy to ask for more. One of the weissbiers I have most enjoyed on draught.

Cerveja de paladar interessante. Embora deixe bastante sabor na boca,não se mostra pesada após se beber. Uma bela experiência

Very nice germen weissbier. hazy look, banana smell and not so much bitterness. I assume that it’s probably not the best wheat beer, but it’s sure a good one.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with thock, stable white head. Clear aroma of hop and wheat. Pleasant, slightly sweeitsh taste of hop and grain. Perfectly carbonated. Good, slighly bitter aftertaste. A really good weissbier.

Draft at World of Beer Fort Myers. Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white foam. Nice banana on the nose. Big estery notes on the tongue blend nicely with the banana and clove notes. Finishes clean. Nice example of style.

0,5l bottle. Hazy golden color. Aroma is wheat, yeast, cooked vegetables and some banana. Taste is similar to the aroma. It’s very nice hefeweizen, not so aromatic as many others.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Very gummy and yeasty overall; some clove and only a touch of banana. Actually, some light, but not negligible, noble hop presence, which is unique among Hefeweizens for me. Appearance: Beautiful honey gold body that is mostly hazy; the head is off-white and sat upon the liquid with a still creaminess. Flavor: Mostly matches the nose, but without so much banana. Still very yeasty, but not at all sweet, and really dials back the clove as well, but allows for some citrus. There is some noteworthy noble hop presence towards the finish without being bitter; the dryness persists but never becomes secco. Palate: Magical. Fluffy and light, nearly like drinking air. Light body, sticky texture, effervescent carbonation, slightly medicinal finish. Overall: Really fascinating Hefeweizen, but I must admit I missed some of the sweet, juicy fruits of other versions. Maybe I’m just too white trash for this very classy beer.
