Pours a golden amber with a large off white fluffy head. Aroma is of wheat, dark malt and yeast notes. Taste same as aroma with some moderate bitterness. Palate is a medium body with good carbonation. The finish has wheat and dark malt flavors with some yeast notes and moderate bitterness on the end for balance. Overall nothing too special here but still a good drinking brew.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Considerable off-white head that dissipates to a rocky surface. This drink’s best feature is its color, an organic looking amber-orange and impressively cloudy. Flavor is typical but tasty. Something in the smell is yeasty in a somewhat offputting way but you get used to it. Feels like it looks, full and thick, but somehow not heavy or filling. That alone is interesting enough to recommend.

Sweet banana aroma - classic hefeweizen. Smooth palate, crisp carbonation. A touch of toffee, but mostly the banana. Kinda dull, but very drinkable. Maybe a little watery later. Bizarrely, the sugars and esters come over as prunes later still.

Indentical scores all round. Lovely perfumey flowery aroma, almost lavendery in its refreshing uplifting nature. Taste is a bit more boring and stodgy. Hops are nice in the finish, full buds.

.5l Bottle from Kuca Piva in Zagreb. Another German Hefe (which Marko loves, look for his take): Spicy darker orange body with smooth full flavor, mellowed candy and full malting for body. Great feel, heavy for a Hefe, soapy head that cuts through all the sweet mass. Tasty, full bodied sweet and sour hefe, not extreme on any edge. Quite tasty and also interesting. Would love to try this in a pint that I wasn’t reading too closely

Bottle from Malt and Vine. Pours hazy orange gold with a fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma is sort of toffee. Fizzy med body. Flavor is wheat with a little toffee, maybe a bit of citrus. Finish does seem kind of lightly acidic - so citrus I guess. Suddenly I am getting a little clove spice - so little I think I overlooked it.

Surprisingly enjoyable. Super wheaty and bready through and through. Yoy dont get much bubblegum or banana. Its a great exhibition in wheat. Generic name and label. If walmart made a beer i suppose it would look like this. Reminds me of schneider edelweiss.

23/06 A 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy orange body with a quite small head regarding the style. Really nice wheat aroma, banana and coriander with some sweet malt. Weak slightly sweet flavor, banana, caramel and chalky yeast. A bit watery but still cloying. I would say medium bodied. Finish wasn’t the best thing, quite acidic somehow, ruining the impression. It’s still a decent, above average Hefeweizen.
