3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hay orange with a large off white head that collapses to an inch but hangs around. Aroma is heavily bready with banana, rather less lemon and spices. Full bready mouthfeel with a wheaty tang. Tastes as it smells with spices coming to the fore at the end. It’s a bit heavier than I like a hefe, and it’s a bit muddled, but but spices and light bitterness make the balance seem good at the end.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle
Orange hazy beer with white head. Aroma has banana, hefeweizen yeast, vanilla, clove and slight citrusy tartness. Flavor is wheat bready, slightly sour, yeasty with banana. Palate is medium full with high carbonation. Finish has mild carbonation. A decent, refreshing and sweet hefeweizen with a distinct tartness which is not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An aroma of light spice and wheat with mild sweetness. The flavor carries the theme through and is the most flavorful of the group but there was something about it I just couldn’t get thru, which kept me from really enjoying it.

Can from Seijo Ishi store in Kuzuha Mall. Light banana nose, esters, citrus, and a touch of spice. Dark hazy amber color. Quite wheaty right off, gentle banana, light clove notes. Thin-medium body. Very serviceable stuff.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

I really enjoyed 3x 50l of this on draught at Don Bratwurst, a German bar off-the-beaten track in Barcelona. It was poured cold, not much aroma initially: some candy sugar, banana skin, later some honey and pineapple as it warmed. Appearance: abundant white persistent foam, loose, sprite carbonation rising up through the light amber haze. Just a little acidity/sourness to make the mother water, some sweet biscuit malts. Long linger which smooths out. Very easy to ask for more. One of the weissbiers I have most enjoyed on draught.
