Dark red color with a beige head. It has a nutty aroma and taste You can realy feel the malt in this beer, just a bit of fruit. As for bitterness well just a small amount. On tap at Benelux.

(Rating #823)

Dark burgundy body topped by a little off-white ring. The aroma is peppery and roasted malts. The malt signature has a pleasant raw & ashes character, like if instead of roasting malts you’d just quickly burn them on the surface. Nicely balanced with plenty of citrusy hops that I didn’t expect to meld so well with the malt profile. There’s even a little lemon taste that doesn’t feel out of place. Other flavours include dark grapes, pepper, just a touch of caramel and some liquorice when it warms up. Medium bitterness, average body and carbonation. Very good. You’ll like this beer if you’re anything like me, I know I am.

A deep reddish brown bock with a thin lacing off white head. A light smokeuy sweet caramel malt in aroma, with light licorice notes. In mouth, the sweet malt mingles well with the peaty smokeyness. Not overly smoked , and rather good. Medium bodied. A nice surprise. On tap at BP on Dec. 23, 2006.
