3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Quevillon (2011) - Sainte-Thérèse, - NOV 6, 2011
Drank on tap (20 oz) at the brewpub on November 5, 2011. Honey amber color, thin head. Sweet grapefruit hop aroma. Very dry hop flavor, some notes of citrus, aftertaste of herbs and aspirin. This is far from Cuda and Sabotage!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Glouglouburp (4773) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 26, 2012
In short: A golden IPA with plenty of cookies, dried fruits and a strong astringency. Just ok
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear glowing orangey-golden body topped by a small persistent off-white head
In long: Aromatic nose with oranges and a mix bag of dried fruits (orange cubes, dried banana slices, etc.) and toasted cookies. Taste has plenty of toasted biscuity malts, flour sensation, a tiny bit of caramel, lots and lots of dried fruits. Sweetness is not really caramel/honey, it is really like the sweetness sensation you get when you eat dried fruits. The overall flour sensation is joined by crushed aspirins and makes a weird astringency. The finish is very mouth-drying and with a low-medium intensity bitterness. Not very bitter. Not a very refreshing beer. Not a bad beer at all, I drank a full pint no problem, but it is not up to the usual Benelux standard. Cactus is not my favorite beer, nor is it my favorite plant, and it must have been a tough day for Mother Nature when it was time to give birth the cactuses.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 VT (285) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 15, 2011
On tap at Cactus restaurant, had it with a buffalo burger. Good combination! A nice copper-orange with a thin white head. Nice fruity taste, subtle and reminiscent of citrus. Very good grapefruit finish. Bitterness is not so strong. Nice carbonation, alright texture. I liked it.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6979) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 20, 2011
A nice copper amber IPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice biscuitty malt with light resinous hops, floral, treacle, nice and smooth. In mouth, a rather green and resinous hops, very herbal and earthy, a bit lacking malt but good. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 14 2011.
