Glouglouburp (2157), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 4, 2008 In short: A standard Witbier but with an added wild side
How: Tap at brewpub, first batch
The look: Cloudy yellow body topped by a very small but long lasting white head.
In long: Nose is typical witbier with lemony notes, some coriander, some flowers and such. Saison yeast doesn’t show much on the nose. Light-medium body, lively carbonation, wheat, coriander, tropical fruits, medium tartness, etc. But it’s really that wild yeast that makes the difference. Not funky or even countryside but that yeast is just wild enough to turn what would otherwise be same-old-same-old into something interesting. I need to get some of that yeast and add it to my girlfriend’s cooking. TaktikMTL (2100), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Jun 26, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1768) MartinT (4497), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 19, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Citrusy flowers and coriander seeds suffuse the quenching wheat of this highly successful Witbier before a forthcoming hop nudge tickles its tight mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A lasting sheet of foam tops the hazy yellow-white shine.
-The aroma is as intelligent as it is gorgeous.
-The expressive Saison yeast is a perfect match to the Witbier grain bill.
-Effervescence is quite comfortable.
-Milky allusions peek once in a while.
