Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange body with a light white head. Fruity wheat tones, light coriander. A light spicy yeast tone, could use more. Hints of lemon grass and a mild sweetness to finish. Okay.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
hazy yellow pour, aroma of cloves, bananas, and touches of bubblegum. The flavor was a touch malty, a little watery, and finished with a medium bitterness and a good bananas flavor. An pretty solid Hefe.

Drank on tap (12 oz) at there brewpub, on June 24, 2010. Misty yellow cream, little head. Aroma of wheat malt with hints of vegetables. Unattractive taste of malted wheat and grass, not as much aftertaste, just dry. Drink there other white beer Gaia instead!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma features some grainy malt along with obvious banana and clove character. Opaque dirty straw coloured body is topped by a generous and lasting white head that recedes slowly to a thin cover with some nice lace. Crisp
cereal malts blend well with banana in the flavour. Spiciness is mild in the aftertaste. Medium body with moderate carbonation that is perhaps a bit low for the style. On tap at the brewpub (4.5%).

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the cafe. Hazy orange-brown with not enough head. Typical aroma and flavour for the style, with a good amount of banana and spice. A good, but not great, example of a common style.

I believe this is what I had @ Mondial 2008, named Gaia?
Smells of wheat, malt and cloves, hazy orange/yellow, tiny white head. Taste is a lemony wheat? Light bodied, not very refreshing. Poor example.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Super hazy, murky honey gold hue, with a thick white head, yeasty, fruity bananaish nose, with a cinnamon, nutmeg spicy accent, some honeyed ripe apple fruitiness, some wet wheaty, sweet pale malt aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spicy, zesty, subtle acidic banana-like character, with a wheaty, wet pale malt note, a faint vanilla accent, with a citrus orangeish fruity note, leading towards a honeyish, fruity acidic finisgh

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
As murky as Gutmann’s hefeweizen, this is a completely opaque, glowing/radioactive golden pour. Almost no head. I was quite under that colour’s charm, so I’m going with a 4 despite the head’s limitations. Not too aromatic surprisingly. I wonder what yeast strain this might be? Obvious banana shows up from the first sniff, but the rest feels mostly like dulled-down yeastiness. Quite dry in mouth. Almost an oxymoron as it is really heavy in mouth, thick and surprisingly not very carbonated. Mostly like a thick, only sparsely carbonated, texture. At the same time, the flavours are timid, amputated by this overwhelming dry, almost musty yeastiness. Not much wheat flavour extraction, minimal phenols. Just not feeling very focused, like the yeast did not take the wanted direction because this is ultimately not refreshing at all, although it remains drinkable all throughout.
