3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweetish notes of malt and caramel and touches of dark chcocolate. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with hints of coffee and yeast. A well-balanced and quite enjoyable Stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Benelux. Black pour with a tan head. Smells mostly of roast and some ashy malts. Pretty dry. Some ground coffee, licorice, and a touch of char. Sort of acidic on the tongue. A touch tangy and very roast forward. Slightly bitter. Some dark chocolate, licorice candies, and burnt bread. If you like dry, ashy stouts this might be your thing.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep umber color with some translucency on the edges and a trace of khaki foam. Some roast up front with hints of coffee, plum and licorice... finish is bittersweet bakers chocolate and lingers nicely.

Fairly standard low ABV stout. Easy drinking, a more than decent attempt, a nice light coffee in the mix.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap. Heavy toasted aromas of toasted, dark bread and coffee, faint herbs for the hops, and dough for the yeast, with a hint of damp paper in the background. Head is average size, creamy, beige with darke swirls, full coverage lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly acidic, and finishes harshly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a dry finish. Nice toasty aromas in this Stout, but they’re one dimensional and a little flat on flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
on draft at brewery, a very dry roasty stout, not much body at all but it somehow makes it very drinkable. I like it

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black with ok lacing, no head. Some roast malt, light coffee. A little musk in aroma. Finishes bitter. Ok but I think their brown Armada is much better, especially given the style. On tap at brewpub.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
uOn tap at Benelux. I usually rate a beer lower for lack of taste. This certainly does not have that problem. It has lots of flavour but it’s all coffee. The staff claim that coffee isn’t used in the recipe, which is remarkable.Too much like black coffee for my liking.
