aerosol999 (113), Quebec, Canada Nov 9, 2006 Aroma: Light roastiness - inviting but not overpowering. Low pleasant sourness. As it warms Licorice and a deeper softer dark cocoa notes
Appearance: Dark opaque Black brown with tan head. Good Belgian lacing
Flavour: Smooth, roastiness balanced bitterness with good hop balance. Roast character increases as it warms
Mouthfeel: Medium full bodied and very creamy
Overall: a very good dry stout which develops in intensity and complexity as it warms over the course of the pint.

Adequate but a bit thin. Marge is French for margin and that is a fitting name for this marginal beer! Sammy (3287), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2007 Nitro-tap at the brewpub. Black coffee, chocolate aroma. Malty. Soft texture on tongue, and not too bitter. Roasted barley taste and and coffee, coffee ground texture. This still could be thicker and tastier.
mabel (1748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 20, 2007 [529-20070811] Tap @ Benelux (Montréal, QC). Local green grocer store aroma holds clean roasted malt with a hint of smoky coffee. Dark black brown body with a very long-lasting creamy light tan head. Smoky smooth bitter malted coffee has a hazelnut aftertaste. Smooth full body. Could like it more but it seems a little heavy on the nuts.
