<b>On Tap</b> Thick Pitch black poor with a light brown stout like head... nice lacing as well. Aromas of roasted grains, toast and creme brule... no coffee notes surprisingly. Good bitterness to it with a dry "light" finish... nothing wow... Flavors of roasted malts, bitter chocolate. Very simple but still enjoyable.

Sent le carton et goûte le metal...mais elle est absolument sexy. Ne vous faites pas prendre.

On tap at Benelux prior to our trip to the ice cider Mondial. Pours a deep black with a medium sized dense beige head. Chocolate, roast and cocoa on the nose. Soft cocoa and roast. Chocolate and faint bitterness on the finish.

Une tête mousseuse de fière allure sur un liquide très foncé. Des parfums de grains légèrement brûlés et fortement secs. Une pointe chocolatée : quelque chose de bien noir. Des saveurs diluées de grains maltés torréfiés et rôtis. Un corps plutôt mince. Un pétillement difficile. Une texture aqueuse. Une finale timidement amère de grains rôtis.

On tap at Cactus restaurant. Black with a thick, dark beige head. Tastes like bitter chocolate, with obvious coffee presence. Not very sweet. Leaves a lasting coffee bitterness. Feels very thin and watery. Not the best stout around, but it was a decent dessert.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small, tan and creamy head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and dry roasted breadish. Bitter, dark malty, light liqourice, roasted breadish and mild spiced. Ends dry and bitter.

On tap at the Brew Pub. Dark brown color with a larger sized off white head. Chocolate, roasty, and some coffee. Thinner and somewhat watery body

On tap @ Cactus. Beautiful black nitro pour with ultra creamy off white head. Aroma is relatively powerful for the style, I pick up lots of chocolate, only lightly roasted/coffee. Taste is surprisingly weak, faint and watery. Only fractions of what the nose was like chocolate and bitterness wise. Palate was good, though a bit thin as well. This started off well, but left me disapointed.

2011-07-30. Black body with a small creamy tan head. 4+ Dry bitter roast, watery dark malt base, lingering dusty roast malt. Very dry roasty malt aroma. Average to light body is lacking for a stout. Meh. Disappointing. Inoffensive but a disappointment. On tap at the brewpub, Montreal

Nitro tap i believe.
Jet black pour, light roasted malts, very light hops, with some bitter cocoa. Light mouthfeel, very dry finish with a lingering roastiness. Pretty middle of the road.

on tap at cactus. dark brown, almost black, good retention and excellent lacing. light to medium body - rather thin. lots of coffee and chocolate notes. straighforward, not so complex. ok.
