LadySusan (386), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada Jan 1, 2008 On tap at Benelux. The color is amber with a beige head. The taste is malty, spicy and just a bit of fruit with the added taste of sweet caramel.. It is a good exemple of an Oktoberfest beer. Rastacouere (5421), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 21, 2007 Clear dark orange hue topped by a lasting, highly lacy sheet of white foam. Straight-on toastiness through and through is punctuated by casual smoky undertones and fresh grains. Mild soft fruitiness drowned in fresh bread crust. A fine pint with a soft light-medium body that is finely carbonated. tiggmtl (4200), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jun 26, 2007 Toasted and bready malts in the somewhat grainy aroma with light fruity esters and a touch of butterscotch. Clear browned amber body is topped by a low but lasting off white head. Malt forward flavour is both bready and nutty with some light fruitiness and mild bitterness. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Very drinkable. Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Fall 2006. Glouglouburp (2157), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 30, 2006 Clear bronze body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of nougat! Nice. Taste is grainy malts, nuts, some buttery caramel and why not some peanut scales. I really liked the creamy & buttery texture. Very very clean and easy to drink. Really not the kind of beer to be savoured slowly. This is an excellent session beer that had my enjoyment level way up there. I could drink that stuff until I’m totally hammered, in true spirit of the Oktoberfest.
