Objectively speaking: A soft porter of low intensity
I like: Unagressive. Smooth bodied. Clean. Easy to drink. No acidity.
I dislike: Not much character. Chocolate was barely hinted at. Very limited depth. A bit boring compared to what I’m usually drinking at Benelux. I would not one a second glass.

In short: Basic roasted porter/stout with a light chocolate flavour.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: black body with a very small tan head
In long: Medium body, medium roastiness level with a burnt toasts flavour. A little chocolate taste in the back but I expected a lot more of it for a beer described as a chocolate porter. Roasted malts really is the upfront taste here. Light hops presence brings a medium dry finish with only a mild bitterness. Not a bad beer at all but this is sub-par for Benelux. As complex as a Ramones guitar tablature.

(Rating #1470)
