In short: A soft caramelized buckwheat ale with a nicely dry finish. Good session beer.

The look: Golden copper body topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: The herbal nose presents pleasant notes of buckwheat and some garden flowers. Body is smooth and somewhat fluffy with a many soft bubbles. I don’t if the beer uses rye or if it is the buckwheat playing tricks on my palate but I had a pleasant rye beer sensation when drinking this beer. Besides that rye sensation I had buckwheat, bread crust, caramel. A somewhat dry finish with burnt grass flavour. Not a very tasty brew and that’s not the goal here, this is a nice session beer. A lot of potential to expand upon. In my dreams Tripode uses more bitter hops and is also my nickname, because, well, you know…

En fût. Pinte dégustée directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de céréales et de caramel. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de sarrazin avec une pointe de caramel. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement fruité. (Rating #2598)
