This pilsner pours a light gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is slightly herbal with a touch of cereal. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are mild and sweet with a touch of cereal and grain. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Nice carbonation. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2006 Very nice. Gold with a large, long lasting white head. Great floral-hop aroma with a hint of fruit. Crisp and clean flavor; light bitterness. Excellent pilsner; full bodied and a pleasure to drink. On draught at Ferdinanda, Prague.

Deep dark brown center with amber edges. Light cream colored head that quickly diminishes. Mostly watered down flavor with a hint of malt and hops and a slightly bitter finish that becomes more pronouced with each sip.

Golden with constant, tiny effervescence and a short, white head. Heady sourdough yeasts in aroma with a big pile of cut wet grass. Dusty floral perfumes emerge as it rests, showing through to the initial flavor as a floral-sweetness. Breadiness follows with almost-caramel malts. Finish is light bitters and light burnt grain with a lingering sensation of having licked the grasscatcher. Buttery mouthfeel, but in a good way. This beer was surprisingly diverse and intriguingly delicious.

Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense, August 2005. Rich gold colour. Fairly dry throughout, with a very dry malt finish. Some hops come in at the end too. Crisp and very refreshing. A well put together pilsner.

Dark golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma of crisp malt with some sweetness. Flavor of malt with subdued hops and a mild bitter finish. There is also a feeling of residual sugar.

Golden body with a large white head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor is more of the same with a nice hop finnish. Very well balanced with an exceptionally soft body.

The Lure:
Shining haystacks and straw-littered floors cover the splattered yeast. Hops are subdued but present within the hay, offering some citrus and barren oiliness.

The Festivities:
A mineral phantom betrays the wooden hop flavor. Hop bitterness is mostly herbal, and does benefit from some minty leafy sweetness. Soft and cuddly equilibrium like most well-brewed Czech pilsners, but not much to dissociate it from the pack.

A living room aquarium.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2007 Sampler from bottle at <a href=http://ratebeer.com/Place/illinois/orland-par Orland Park, This must just now be appearing in America. A great pilsener malt color, to be sure. Like any imported light lager, I suspect a lot of the spicy hop oils have gone away. So I taste a balanced bitterness to the malts, but not much more. Guess it’s not fair to seek out good imported pilseners, but I’m still in the hunt.
