2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep dark brown center with amber edges. Light cream colored head that quickly diminishes.
Mostly watered down flavor with a hint of malt and hops and a slightly bitter finish that becomes more pronouced with each sip.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden with constant, tiny effervescence and a short, white head. Heady sourdough yeasts in aroma with a big pile of cut wet grass. Dusty floral perfumes emerge as it rests, showing through to the initial flavor as a floral-sweetness. Breadiness follows with almost-caramel malts. Finish is light bitters and light burnt grain with a lingering sensation of having licked the grasscatcher. Buttery mouthfeel, but in a good way. This beer was surprisingly diverse and intriguingly delicious.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden body with a large white head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor is more of the same with a nice hop finnish. Very well balanced with an exceptionally soft body.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shining haystacks and straw-littered floors cover the splattered yeast. Hops are subdued but present within the hay, offering some citrus and barren oiliness.
A mineral phantom betrays the wooden hop flavor. Hop bitterness is mostly herbal, and does benefit from some minty leafy sweetness. Soft and cuddly equilibrium like most well-brewed Czech pilsners, but not much to dissociate it from the pack.
A living room aquarium.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2007 Sampler from bottle at <a href=http://ratebeer.com/Place/illinois/orland-par Orland Park, This must just now be appearing in America. A great pilsener malt color, to be sure. Like any imported light lager, I suspect a lot of the spicy hop oils have gone away. So I taste a balanced bitterness to the malts, but not much more. Guess it’s not fair to seek out good imported pilseners, but I’m still in the hunt.
