3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shining haystacks and straw-littered floors cover the splattered yeast. Hops are subdued but present within the hay, offering some citrus and barren oiliness.
A mineral phantom betrays the wooden hop flavor. Hop bitterness is mostly herbal, and does benefit from some minty leafy sweetness. Soft and cuddly equilibrium like most well-brewed Czech pilsners, but not much to dissociate it from the pack.
A living room aquarium.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2007 Sampler from bottle at <a href=http://ratebeer.com/Place/illinois/orland-par Orland Park, This must just now be appearing in America. A great pilsener malt color, to be sure. Like any imported light lager, I suspect a lot of the spicy hop oils have gone away. So I taste a balanced bitterness to the malts, but not much more. Guess it’s not fair to seek out good imported pilseners, but I’m still in the hunt.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense. ABV was 5%, like the brewery website says. Very nice Saazer aroma, flowers and honey, some fruit too. Reasonably well balanced flavour with a tolerable maltiness and decent hops which linger through the aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at a beer garden in Prague. Bubbly and malty, pretty straightforward and plain, even cloying by the end.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2005 Drinkable. Gold with a sudsy head, the aroma is sweet grainy malt with a syggestion of hops. The flavor is malty, a bit too sweet for me, with a light floral hop finish.

Golden, slightly hazy. Sweet yeasty finish. Not bitter enough. Fruity flavour with hints of banana and prunes. Quite unpleasant in this kind of beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[At Křbenhavnske Řldage 2005] A golden beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet malty, and the flavor is also sweet, but this time very malty, leading to a dry hoppy end. A very crisp fresh pilsener.
