Bottle. Light brown creamy high and lasting head. Clear but very dark red brown body. Sweet and fruity aroma of burned malt and caramel. Very sweet flavor indeed, no bitterness, little carbonation, as indicated by the aroma the flavor is of burned malt with sugar and caramel. Long and pleasant aftertaste.

imdownthepub (10982) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2006
On tap at The Pivni Galerie, Prague, 500ml, filtered. Chestnutty colour with white head, a pretty looking beer. Thin beer, but with a certain smokiness and fruitiness, rather plummy. However there is a surose sweetness that dominates the beer and overall it is too thin to be overly interesting.

pivnizub (9159) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2006
Bottled (@ PivniGaleriePraha): Ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized fluffy tanned head, lacing and slowly collapsing; sweet dark-malty, caramelly nose with a distinctive touch of toasted malt; sweet (malty) flavour, surprisingly full bodied, velvet MF; longer sweet-caramelly finish with a delicate bitterness in the very end. A bit on the sweet side, but all in all a very pleasant and decent Dunkles !

voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 2, 2006
Magnificent looking in the glass, a very dark clear amber, with a very fluffy off-white head. Great lacing and retention. Aroma is quite strong, of floral hops with some slight caramel and chocolate. The flavours are all caramel, with some slight hop flavours and a slightly metallic finish. Another good, if unexciting dark lager from the Czechs.
