Crosling (1863) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - JUN 6, 2005
Red apple in color. Full foaming cream. Sweet roast and chocolate aromas, with hints of raisin and dust. Quite nice. Sweet malts and caramel with a hint of banana in the flavor. Not bad really, for a beer like this.

Ungstrup (29168) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2005
[At Křbenhavnske Řldage 2005] A clear brown beer with a small orange head. The aroma is sweet roasted and rather fruity. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a dry roasted end.

JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 4, 2005
Chestnut to copper color with a small layer of tiny tan bubbles. Great color just not much head out of this bottle. Mild sweetened nut and hint of roasted malt in the aroma. Light mocha flavors with a touch of hops late in the quaff. A very unassuming and drinkable dunkle. I certainly could sit and drink this all evening. Very smooth on the palate.

Wonderfull smoky aroma, there must be smokemalt in this, creamy fully lasting head, and dark redbrown colour. Wonderfull to look at. It tastes quite average though, short finish that doesn´t add up to the aroma

Bottle at DBF2005. Nose of stale hops and a malty background. Brownish body, small white head. Sweet flavor, a bit thin.

This poured a reddish brown with medium carbonation and a slender tan head. The aroma is like that of wort in a brewhouse. The flavor is caramel malt with an odd mineral water kind of a finish that left a film on my tongue. My dunkel experiences are rarely good...
