Pours a dark ruby color with a thin off white head. The aroma is hay and some bananas with nutmeg. The taste is a slightly sweet apricot with some grass and some light smoke. Also a little bit of roasted peanuts.The finish is a little dry for me. A fairly nice dunkel. Best by March 29, 2005.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2005 Rerate Thinnish head, flavor not as chocolatey this time around, aroma a bit too sweet; still a decent Dunkel though. Original 3.6 Picked up at Habersham Beverage Warehouse in Savannah, Ga. Pleasant chestnut brown pour with a pillowy off white head and good sticky lacing. Aroma has some sweet nutty accents with a back end of wort. Flavor has some of the same accents with a noticeable chocolatey bent. Also detect a wee bit of coffee. One of the more flavorful dunkels that I have come across. Mouthfeel, while a bit thin is appopriate for the style. A definite winner.

Even though I have been to the city of Benesov two times, this is my first beer from this brewery. Very dark red colour with creamy off-white head. Aroma is maltet with some roasted malts and hints of coffee. First flavors are mostly the roasted malts, but then there is also some sweetness. Palate is nice and solid, and the beers last impression is a dry bitterness.

Orange with redbrown tones and off-white head.
Aroma of raisins and syrup.
maltsweet flavour without bitterness. Dry finish.

On tap. If Dunkel could look better than this one how would it look? Sweet, deep brownish color. Creamy thick crown. Aroma - this is the other side of medal. Slightly organic, not the freshest, slightly sulphuric. Flavours were flat and boring, sweet.

A very longlasting sweet aroma.
Of course extremely goodlooking beer with an excellent head.

Almost black. Rocky off-white head. Sweet flavor with a clear caramel-feel.
