perfectly good. not too ambitious. worth grabbing a couple at the samoobsluha

(Bottle 0,5l) Light coffee, light roasted malty aroma. Dark brown color. Large light brown head. Medium sweet. Light-medium body. Light dry finish.

Clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 090412

Bottle. Pretty sweet stuff, nice color, brownish head,long palate. Nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a near-brown red-hued body with a medium light beige foamy short-lived head. Nose is light roasty caramel tones with hints of cereals and raisins. Taste is straight malty tones with hints of caramel. A bit watery mouthfeel. Too simple to convince.

tap at ferdinanda. pours a clear mahogany with a frothy beige head. aroma of dry doughy sweet bread. green raisins. good carbonation. crisp. refreshing. sweet doughy bready dark session beer with a touch of dried fruit. good.

Bottle.Dark brown colour with creamy beige head.Aroma is rosted and malty with taste of caramel and brown bread,sweet mouthfeels with hint of brown sugar and malt.

Draught at the „4th Czeh Beerfestival”, Bp. Dark brown/ruby colour with a medium, beige coloured head. The smell is sweetish. Sweet-sourish aroma dominated by caramel underpainted by light roastyness, texture is slick. The finish is rather sweet escorted by a moderate roasty bitterness. Overall rather on the sweet side, but not bad.

Draught at Uusi Apteekki, Turku. Dark reddish brown color. The aromas of dark bread, caramel and toffee. In the flavor dark bread and toffee is on the top with some caramelly background notes. Slightly sweet but not overly so. Quite nice breakfast beer.

Pours a very nice clear dark brown, sustained head, medium lacing. Somewhat thin-bodied and light. Smell has some woods/forest in addition to the usual caramel and cola. Flavors are moderately sweet (brown sugar) and light-to-moderate bitterness (grass). When cold, this is a very nice example of a mid-sweetness dunkel; not your overdone watery cola nut or waaay to sweet caramel variety. Balanced. Better than the sum of the parts and worth a revisit if better dunkels aren’t around. Bottle, very fresh as always from Piwoteka.
