UPDATED: JUN 19, 2010 500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
Deep red, brief spongy beige head. Rich grainy aroma, sweet. Really grainy in fact, some huskiness. But also really sweet. Smooth, sweet body, rich roasty and sugary retronasals, carbonation soft. Residual sugars not only high, but I notice there’s saccharin in the ingredients, which I have to penalise them for. Tasty roast, but just too sweet. Drinkable, but leaves me thirstier due to the stickiness! (6:4:6:4:10=3.0)
Rerate: 500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
5+ simple sweet dark lager aroma, tough of roast.
4 dark red, ring head
6 bacony retronasals. Pleasant roasty taste, quite dry in the burntness
3 refreshing palate, carbonation crisp.
12 more burnt and less sweet than the average czech dunkel.

Bottle probably from the Albert hypermarket in Chodov, Prague, shared with heavy
Poured a dark red body going black with a beige head that went away at a medium pace. Dry malty nose reminiscent of milk caramel, slightly roasty and sweet. Light roasty taste with notes of caramel, dry, not all that sweet for a Czech dunkel... maybe more coffeeish than chocolatey, but both descriptors are a bit stretched. Even some extremely weak notes of herbal hop floated in for a second once. It’s an ok dark beer that’s more a schwarzbier than a dunkel in my book but still not enough to care about it. All in all, a solid enough choice in a Czech supermarket.
