Quack-Duck (2202), Bodensee, Germany Nov 1, 2008 bottle from Hypernova Praha-Nové Butovice. Clear golden yellow colour, large and very creamy white head. Malty nose. Rather full malty body, well-balanced with good aromtaic and bitter hops, resulting in a bitter-sweet character. Very slightly fruity with shy hints of apple. Pleasant carbonation. A superb desítka. Very tasty indeed, as are the other beers from Benesov.
SSSteve (1655), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Feb 4, 2007 pours gold with a small head and hardly any lacing. looks flat. flavor is a mix of a grainy lager with stale hops and pineapple and something. juicy palate with sharp carbonation. weird stuff. voota (754), Melbourne, Australia Sep 2, 2006 Pours an ever so slightly cloudy golden, and a large white head. Lacks the sulfur in the aroma that the 12° had, and has more floral notes. The body is thin, but pleasant, without any big faults. The finish is wheaty, with a hint of banana. A decent light lager. JK (2520), uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Mar 26, 2006 Updated: Aug 26, 2006Excellent in its own style and not bad otherwise. Sampled from the tap. Gold and highly carbonated. Long lasting white head. Light hop aroma, and light bitter flavor; light all around. If you called it a pilsner, I wouldn’t call you a liar. Aubrey (2643), Denver, Colorado, USA Dec 12, 2005 Bright yellow-gold and mostly clear. Head was thinnish. Curious microfloaties swirling about. Fruity, buttery nose. Soft and light body; light carb. Delicate notes of pear, vanilla and butter cookies. Very mild, herbal bitterness provided decent balance. Kind of white wine-like. Not bad, but not very exciting at all, either.
