Sold in the states as Ferdinand Lager Beer, 4.0%. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Aroma is moderately malty (bread), lightly hoppy (flowers). Body is medium to dark yellow. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. A rather unclean and flimsy rendition.

(Bottle 0,5l) Very light sweet, almost not detectable aroma. Clear golden color. Quickly done white head. Light sweet.

Nejméně sladké a nejvíce hořké že všech ferdinandích piv, takže pro mě jasná volba.

Ferdinánd Sörház, Budapest. Világos, arany szín, szép nagy, tömör fehér habbal. Illata malátás, füves és friss. Vizes, könnyen iható sör, amelyben inkább a maláta édessége a döntő, de azért komlós kesernyésség is majdnem olyan szinten jelen van, egészen jó az összhang. Nem nagy durranás, de azért eléggé rendben van, literszámra lehet pusztítani.

on tap in Prague, this is a great beer for "desitka"nice frothy foam, nice soft taste with bitter end. I like this ferdinand

Botled. 4,0 ABV. Ferdinand Lager beer on the label - I hope this is that one that i’ve sampled. Pours pale golden with vanishing head and fizzy appearance. Cooked corn aroma with some faint flowery hints. Medium sweet maltiness with heavy cooked corn tones. Light hoppy dryness in the finish. Worse than i expected.

bottle from Hypernova Praha-Nové Butovice. Clear golden yellow colour, large and very creamy white head. Malty nose. Rather full malty body, well-balanced with good aromtaic and bitter hops, resulting in a bitter-sweet character. Very slightly fruity with shy hints of apple. Pleasant carbonation. A superb desítka. Very tasty indeed, as are the other beers from Benesov.
