ogivlado (2552), Zagreb, Croatia Oct 21, 2008 Bottled(500ml). -Amber ruby coloured, medium sized beige head, slight herbal nose. Light roasted malt, caramel and grainy taste with grainy and light alcoholic notes. Also a bit metallic, mild spicy herbal finish. Doggythedog (1092), Split, Croatia Oct 17, 2008 0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!)<br /> Poured a dark brown-red colour with a medium sized beige head that went away slowly. Grainy nose, notes of caramel and raisins. The taste isn’t far off, being grainy, caramelly and sweetish... dark malts. Not all that hoppy...almost at all. Says it’s brewed with some herbs but there’s nothing that would reveal their presence except (in my mind) maybe for a vague, just kinda herbal chalkiness. It’s still a good dunkel or vienna, not too sweet. Svesse (1920), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 (Draught at Ferdinanda, Prague, 23 July 2008) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, toasty nose with spicy hints of wild berries. Malty, spicy taste with notes of wild berries, caramel and spicy hops in the finish. Medium body, rather sweet. Interesting and drinkable. KimJohansen (5208), Copenhagen V, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Clear brown with medium off white head. Sweet fruity and grainy aroma with caramel and roasted malt notes.
