An unexpected visual bend to an American IPA. This style is one that stands out in a crowd, or if you’re more like us - enjoyed at a campsite, with no crowd.

12 oz. can from arminjewell - thanks again, Armin! Pours a clear rich golden color with a thick off-white head that settles into a lasting soft cap on the beer and laces the glass. There’s a rising flute of carbonation in my tulip, as well. Aroma of tea, fresh citrus (grapefruit and orange), grass, spice, and toasty and sweet biscuity malts. Flavor of tea with lemon, biscuity and bready and caramel malts, grass, some oils and resin, and dusty grains. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a mouthfeel that starts malty, gets clean in the middle and finishes with a little oily bitterness. Good balance.

Pour is a bright gold, but I can see my fingers clearly on the opposite side of the glass. Maybe just the smallest hint of haziness to the appearance, but not like an unfiltered beer. Aroma is moderately piney with some citrus/orange smell. Taste is bitter and piney with a hint of grapefruit, but goes down very smooth almost like a lager. Good IPA for summer. Maybe not what you want when you are looking for a maximum hop blast, but if you want an IPA to cool down, this is the ticket. I think the can’s suggestion that it be enjoyed at a campsite sounds about right.

Golden color. Good head. Hop aroma. Very clean for IPA. Refreshing. Good IPA for those who do not like overwhelming hops ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at esbls. Almost clear orange gold with just a little foam. An aroma of pine and floral with a little cat pee. All of those are tasted with pine in front. Ok.

Can, thanks to Jeff. Clear pale amber pour with frothy white head and irregular lacing. Aroma brings thick caramel, pine resin, and just a smidge of grapefruit. Taste is bitter through and through, with a malt backdrop providing support. Lasting bitter finish, reasonably dry. Palate: medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.
