COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An unexpected visual bend to an American IPA. This style is one that stands out in a crowd, or if you’re more like us - enjoyed at a campsite, with no crowd.

Draft sample. Gold in colour with moderate carbonation. Loads of spicy C-hops on the nose, along with some floral and light pale malt notes. Juicy pink grapefruit, kitchen herbs, cut grass and a hint of tropical fruit on the palate. Lightish body (for the style), with a cleansing sharp bitterness. Right up there with the great Minnesotan IPAs from Town Hall, Surly, Indeed, and Steel Toe.

Pour from a 12 oz. can, consumed on 3-2-14. Metallic and a touch "beery" smell features scents of minerals, lemon, salt, and grapefruit. Pours a clear brass with a moderate amount of beige head. Light to moderate lacing. Dry, creamy, bitter taste features black pepper and lemon elements as well as a touch of alcohol in the flavor. Medium body. Soft in an unremarkable palate. It’s a simple beer. This can can’t be much more than 2 months old, perhaps closer only to a month. It may be past its prime, but that seems awfully quick, even for an IPA. I did prefer earlier selections from the six-pack from a couple or more weeks ago. I probably would have rated this a 3.6 or 3.7 based on my initial tasting, if I had bothered to rate it then. I’ll give it another chance fresher, but, let’s face it, a lot of IPAs spend at least a month on the shelves, and if the beer can’t handle that, especially in a can that has as far as I know constantly been kept refrigerated, it’s fair to hold that against it unless it is specifically marketed as a beer that the consumer has to drink immediately.

12 ounce can. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A sweet fruity nose, some tea. A rich fruity hop flavor, oranges, tea, very light bitterness. Smooth as hell. Quite drinkable

Tasted at the brewery last summer and now from a fresh can. Golden amber pour with a nice white head. Really nice aroma, slightly citrus and slightly malty. Really nice taste as well. Hoppy, slightly bitter finish. Easy to drink and refreshing.

A good IPA -- that resembles more of a pale ale -- made with the freshest water of Lake Superior. Great brewery, great people, great beer and great atmosphere make this beer.

12oz can pours a clear orange/golden with large white head. Aroma of floral, citrus, and fruity hops. Taste similar to aroma with mango and orange, a mild bitterness and dry caramel malt. Refreshing and easy drinking, nice!

Can thanks to CLevar. drank from can. citrus in the nose. clean crisp malt with some solid mouthfeel. not watery and not obnoxiously malty. hop bitterness and flavor seem a little subdued for an IPA, but very drinkable and very good.

Pours a slightly hazy orange color, thin white head. Aromas are citrus forward, tons of orange and a bit of pine. Taste is a bit more pine than the aroma, some lemon/lime flavor, and a dry, bitter, malty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can courtesy of TheHoff43: Grassy grapefruit and pineapple nose, good strength. Hazy amber, thick head, nice lacing. Honeyed grass flavor, very low bitterness initially, sweet malt. Finishes with subtle bitter grapefruit. Soft carbonation, light body. Not a hophead’s IPA, but very well made and enjoyable no matter your persuasion. An IPA I can drink all night.
