This is about as good as an American Style Wheat gets. Classic color, aroma and taste. It goes down smooth.

4oz sampler at the Bent River brewpub. Poured a relatively filtered yellow color, so it was a lot less hazy than I expected. Light sweet grain notes, with a touch of wheat notes. A bit boring, but inoffensive and pretty darn drinkable.

A very typical American Wheat with nothing 'outstanding' about it. A weak aroma, but a refreshing taste and a soft lingering palate.

Lack of an aroma keeps this one down a bit for me. Pours a hazy yellow with a small head. The aroma is week, not much going on at all. The flavor is your typical wheat beer with a peppery finish.

tap at Bent River on Nov. 26, 2011. Very thin watery wheat beer - not offensive but not interesting at all. Bland.

On tap. Clear light orange pour, spotty carbonation and no noticeable aroma (good or bad). Flavor is mellow wheat/grain/malt and lightly hopped. Solid wheat beer.

On tap at brewpub, pours a dark golden color with some lacing in the glass, overall aroma is sweet and grainy, go figure, the flavor is boring and and sweet, much better at Bent River.

20100608 Tap at brewpub. I mean, it’s an American Wheat, so I didn’t expect much. Kind of grainy. Flavorful, like breakfast cereal, and not that I wanted to have a flavor glass of cereal, but at least it’s not totally bland. Really, Bent River, throwing a hop pellet or two in here wouldn’t kill you. Unremarkable.

clear copper color. Very light aroma. Some wheaty notes. Taste is metallic grain. Wheat finish with soil and some small bits of citrus. Fairly standard.
