On tap at the brewpub poured orange with an off white head. Aroma is lots of fruity citrusy hops. Flavor is grapefruit, caramel, and a little toasty malt. Very nice and balanced under the big hopppy nose.

Pours a slightly hazy orange with a 1-2 finger, creamy, eggshell head that has decent retention. Aroma is citrus, light caramel, light fruit and a touch of biscuit. Flavor is bright citrus, caramel and toast, with a light melon-like fruitiness. Palate is fairly light bodied off dry and somewhat heavily carbonated. Nice, fresh citrus APA, good stuff.

20100608 Tap at brewpub. Soft bodied, laid back c-hop aroma and lasting mild hop bitterness. Nothing extraordinarily hoppy about this one that would make you think they put any emphasis on the dry hopping, but it’s a fine APA.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cavie (3382) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2010

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 MrNemo (11) - Virginia Beach, USA - APR 26, 2010
Bent River is my favorite brewery as I was a former QC resident. I am not a huge hophead, but this is a great beer. This beer has a beautiful, hazy, orange pour. BR has a great rep for appearance of their beers. This is certainly a ful body brew of hints of citrus ontop heavy hops but maintains a good balance. I wish BR would bottle again.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 drowland (4994) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - AUG 12, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2010 Re-tried this again on tap a few days ago and holy crap it’s good. Wonderful citrus hoppy aromas flowing up from the dry hopping. Their original pale ale recipe is decent, but this dry hopped version is really. freaking. good. I love Bent River and they make me sad that I moved to Tallahassee.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DalzAle (1737) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2008
On tap today at the brewpub. Pour was a hazy light orange color and had aroma of light hops and citrus. Flavor was mostly hops, but very crisp and went down easy. If I lived in town, this would be regular growler purchase for me. Cant wait for my next visit to the Quad Cities.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Lightly hazed amber to light copper color. Smaller off-white head. Full fresh hops aromas with mild grapefruit and citric zest. Hints of pale malts in the background. LIght caramel start which is ushered aside by the fresh hops. Grapefruit with just a touch of light fruit. Some what light in feel, but not to overpowering to make it seem thin.
