Bottle @ home, courtesy of pepsican bronus. Pours a deep brown appearance with a dark brown fizzy head that disappears quickly. Cookie, dark chocolate chip, a bit doughy, coffee, dessert aroma. Kind of thin. Quite spicy, very roasty earthy coffee flavor. Pretty decent but a bit over the top.

It really is a great stout for the holidays as you get all the spices and flavors that scream “holiday” right in your glass/bottle. The vanilla adds a hint of sweetness and the coffee and chocolate really shine in this brew. Add a bit of smokiness from the roasted malts and you have a real winner of beer here. Only available until mid-January I suggest giving this brew a shot if you’re a stout fan. REVIEW STYLE: Stout ABV: 6.5% PURCHASED AT: Hy-Vee Marion, IA POUR: Deep brown pour with a small tan head. AROMA: Vanilla, rum, coffee dominate the aroma. TASTE: Coffee, vanilla, chocolate and smokiness from the malt. Ratebeer.com rating: 84 Beeradvocate rating: 85 Overall: B My recommendation: If you need a break from the big imperials this is the perfect beer to take that break with, enjoy it for dessert, watching the game, or it would be even better for breakfast! Cheers!

Smells like Carmel and sweet candy. Bottle pour from my bro. Super foamy. Taste is also sweet and flavorful of toffee and nutty chocolate happiness. A little too much going on for me but it is enjoyable.

Very heavy coffee aroma. Coffee and malt taste, espresso aftertaste. Dark stout, off white head.

Aroma is strong coffee and a small hint of fruit. The flavor is coffee, chocolate, fruit and an acidic/tart finish.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a big caramel nose with a little coffee in there. Reminds me of snickerdoodle coffee. Flavor is more of the caramel with a minor coffee. Thin mouth feel but its way sweet. Even with the sweetness this is pretty tasty I just wish this had a bigger and heavier malt presence.

Great full taste! Similar to the Founders Breakfast Stout but with some added jingle. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys coffee chocolate and maple syrup! If you are a stout fan then I highly recommend you try it!

Perfectly black pour from the bottle. A thin medium khaki head floats around in bits. I am confused by the smell. It is strong butterscotch but almost overwhelmed by coffee and rum. Cheap coffee mixed with watered down cola and cheap coffee is the primary taste. Hints of wood come through on the back end. It is OK, but almost too much.

Black pour with a 2 finger, creamy tan head that has great retention and leaves some decent, creamy lacing. Aroma of Snicker doodle cookies, roast, toasted nuts, earth, light chocolate, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon heavy holiday spice and some dark caramel notes. Flavor is roast, lots of toasted nuts, chocolate, coffee, holiday spice, dark caramel (reminds me a bit of Riesen’s candy), light oyster-like saline and mineral notes, a little pine to the finish. Medium body, creamy entry, thinner and more dry finish and a somewhat light and somewhat blanketing carbonation. Really good stuff overall, at least as good as their regular Uncommon Stout, which I like a lot.
