Handbottled via Duane, thanks!

Pours a medium brown hue with a fizzy head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, oatmeal, prune, grassy hops, and coffee. The taste follows suit mostly starting with a nice mocha and grassy hop balance with some twangy fruit, earthy yeast and a finish notes some iced coffee character. The feel is fizzy and thin, oatmeal stout should have more body than this, refreshing enough though. A good beer and glad to have tried it.

Nice flavor on this black beer with a sticky head. Roasty, toasty and pretty high on the smoothness meter ... slightly above average.

hand bottled in a swingtop bottle by duane, pour is an inky black with a creamy coffee colored head, actually quite considerable for a non-nitro stout. aroma has a distinct sweetness, oats, caramel, and a bit of burnt coffee. a sweet burnt oatmeal taste starts off with a little bit of coffee, fading away to a nice light amount of chocolate malts and just a tad of bittering hops. mouthfeel is pretty thin and a bit watery, but the lingering chocolate flavor saves it a little. 2nd offering from this brewer, and 2nd rather enjoyable experience. thx duane.

Hand bottled by Duane, thanxs pal. Brown with faomy tah head. Smells like caramel and scotch. Oh, nich taste. There is raosted oatmela and cramel, The carbination may have settled in bottling, but I think it is great. However, I must agree, a bit light on mouth feel.

Almost black with nice tan head. The aroma was sweet, doughy, some coffee. Good body and little carbonation. Flavor was pleasing oatmeal, malty. Not Sam Smith but a respectable oatmeal stout. Good work.

on tap at the brewpub. a very tasty oatmeal stout. somewhat sweet and a little bit dry on the finish. a bit too much carbonation but not bad. palate and overall rating would have been higher but this stout was quite thin, not even a medium mouthfeel. Still I brought home a growler, so it wasn’t that much of a deduction.

On tap at the brewpub. Aroma of a loaf of bread. Smells like rising dough. Black beer. Brown head that does not hang around too long. Sweet and sparkly on the tongue. No lace. A lighter stout.

A nice oatmeal stout, that was not too assertive. Well balanced and highly drinkable. Chocolate malt notes with a subtle oatmeal twang and creaminess... Good beer with Bent's philly steak sandwich !!!

I sampled this brew almost 2 years ago when i was at Western Illinois University. I remember it being kinda thin with high carbonation. the tap version was slightly better, with more body.
