Tap at brewery Pours lite copper hue with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is all c hops. This could be the best snpa clone I have ever had. It’s dead on in every aspect. Solid stuff. Nice leafy grapefruit hop flavors. Standard but good.

Aroma - metallic off aroma sits above some caramel malt and pungent hops. Appearance - the body is a hazy rust, with some sediment. The head is beige and 1+". In truth the head would of probably took up my whole glass, because after a gentle opening it spilled all over the place. About 4 ounces were lost. The head is very tight for what is there. Taste - has caramel malt and some weak hops that would fall into the pungent category. Their is a slight metallic/electric taste. Palate - medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, tannic finish.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2016 Bottle. Above average hoppy aroma and flavor; not as peaky as some of the current crop of IPA’s. Drinkable, but very astringent, bitter finish.

Bottle courtesy of "Mr.Plumpy". Colour...lightly hazy amber with no head. Nose...model airplane glue infused with some faint hops. Palate...funky hops and odd malt flavour with a diacetyl hint. Not a fan of this pale.

12 oz bottle The ale poured a light amber with an off white head and mild lacing. Nice APA with balanced bitterness and malt flavors. The aroma was mild floral hops with some pale malts. The ale had a medium body with average to soft carbonation. The finis was clean with some lingering hop bitterness. This was one of my twele beers for the month.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a hazy amber color with a one finger head of off white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is heavy of a caramel and bready smell. Mixed with these aromas comes some lighter notes of a citrus and pine hop smell as well. Taste – The taste begins just as one may anticipate from the nose with a rather strong showing of a caramel and a bready flavor. Upfront these are the dominant flavors, with these two tastes later being joined by some other tasted of a light earthy and pine nature. With a little bit of sweeter citrus as well as some lighter herbal hop flavors that comes to the tongue at the very end, one is left with a rather malty and sweet, very lightly hopped flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the malty and rich flavors of the brew the feel is rather appropriate with them helping to accentuate the lighter hop tastes nicely all while upholding the sweet malty flavors well. Overall – For a pale ale it is a little on the sweeter and more malty side with not quite enough hop for my taste. It certainly is not off in flavor by any means, but I was expecting a pale ale, and to me this seems much more like an amber ale. It is very tasty, but not really a great example of the style.
