2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2013 Bottle poured mahogany brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Mouthfeel was a bit thin for a stout compared to most. Decent beer but I?d say average for the category.

It’s hard to go wrong with Bent River. That being said, this stout smells like.. you guessed it, chocolate and coffee. Pours a dark brown color, with a tan head. Has a deep rich taste with the coffee flavors surprisingly held back and not overpowering. A damn good beer.

Black with a tan head. Lots of coffee and roast malt in the aroma with some chocolate and smoke. The flavor has the same with a sweet start. It has a silky feel and a nice aftertaste.

This is by far the best coffee stout I have ever had!! It is not a heavy stout so it does not fill you up and give you that bloated feel. It has a great aroma and just the right amount of coffee to make the perfect coffee stout.

Bottle at home, gifted from Steve N. Aroma of toasted pecans, bitter iced coffee, char. Light to medium bodied. Flavors of coffee, almost burnt nuts, slightly lactic palate, with a tannic, bitter finish. High drinkability, really good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle via Patrick. Pours a medium brown, little bit of tan head. Aroma nutty, coffee-forward, with oatmeal interlaced. Body medium-thin, roasty character. May have been a little past it age-wise, but a nice little beer.
