acrdz (4535), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 31, 2007 Nose has a little bit of black cherry, coffee and dark chocolate, with some plum-like dark fruit notes, with faint amounts of roast. Robust, heavy, lightly sweet with coffee and cream and chocolate notes all over this beer throughout the drink. A decadent and unique dessert beer that doesn’t get carried away with the sweetness. Very good. Cornfield (4469), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 28, 2006 Coffee. That word about sums up this brew, except that it had a bigger tan head than any cup of coffee that I’ve had. A hint of roasted malt and a dollop of milk chocolate make an appearance in the flavor, but it remains all about the coffee.

Bent River Brewing Company, Moline, IL
JPDIPSO (4404), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 19, 2007 Brown color with a light taupe head. Was not sure what uncommon was until the first sniff. Yep, lots of coffee in this one. Coffee scents with a hint of lactose and a touch of toast. Coffee and mild dark chocolate flavors. The coffee is there and in the forefront, but not overpowering as some that seem to have added instant coffee. A pleasurable coffee stout. heemer77 (3955), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jan 15, 2006 At the brewpub. A dark brown body with some ruby highlights. The head was a light khaki color. The aroma had roasted coffee with some light chocolate. The taste was coffee with some dark chocolate and dry tobacco. The mouthfeel was a little thin. A decent stout. Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jun 2, 2005 Reddish black with a pure coffee aroma. Nice smooth flavors with the java not overpowering. Great beer.
