Cask handpull at The Wellie, Brum. Tawny red amber with a off white veil. Berry aroma inc strawberry. Oily hop, berries, faint orange and grapefruit hop, biscuit. Bitterness builds in the finish, but overall quite thin and forgettable: misses Beowulf’s signature fatness and biscuit. solid, but a little disappointing.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. Rich dark amber with a thin white head and a lot of lace. Malt driven aroma with some light hoppage in the background. The hops are more upfront in the flavour and balances out pretty well with the malt. The sweetness in the aroma has gone. Bitterish finish. Not much else happening sadly.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Nice glazed hops, with a hint of sugary apple pie. Thick mouthfeel and flavour that glides down the throat. Most likely a Golden, but does have some ESB treacliness. One of their better efforts!
