COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Originally an Autumn & Winter seasonal, now a Regular. Also available bottled conditioned at 5.3%.
Really bitter and black. Dark malts and roasted barley produce a smoky "chocolate" flavour followed by a bitter aftertaste.

Cask pretty bricks. Black thin head. Aroma choc roasted malts taste same nice smokey bitter finish. Ok body. Good stout.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A black colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some coffee, raisin and smoke. Taste of roasted malts, dark chocolate, raisin, burnt toast, espresso coffee and smoke. Medium bodied and a smooth texture. A bitter, roasted, cocoa finish. A full flavoured, bitter, smoky stout. Really nice.

Cask @ PO Vault, Birmingham. Smooth and dark beginning, fresh, smooth, roasted. Dry, fresh, smooth. Roasted-malt, bitter till the end, nice and smooth! The aftertaste is roasted, smooth, nicely bittered, chocolate/Espresso. A great brew!!

Cask@the avion, aldridge. Black beer with medium tan head and decent lacing. Aroma of roast coffee and some chocolate. Taste is burnt malts, smoke, roast coffee, licorice and some dark chocolate. Lots of flavours. Medium bodied and a little creamy. Excellent stout.

On cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. Jet black body with a dark tan head. Lovely and toasty and smoky coffee on the nose. Sweet chocolate malt taste, nice rich and warming. Quality and highlight of the day.

01 - BCA - Opaque Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty/burnt malts, dark bitter chocolate, espresso coffee, liquorice, smoke. No fruit. Hoppy; some hop bitterness. Roast malty and fairly dry throughout with a bitter finish. Decent. Very drinkable.

Cask in the Silk Mill, Derby. Very dark body with a small tan head. Slight coffee aroma. Very thick and rich taste. Bitter with lots of coffee and burnt toast. Dry finish. Nice stuff.

Cask at the Milton Keynes Beer Festival 2013. Poured a very dark, near black colour with a tight, thin tan head. Aroma of smoked meat, prunes and earthy notes. Full, creamy mouth feel. Roast malt flavours with dried fruit and tobacco. Palate is very dry with bitter burnt malt. Very smooth.

Treacle malt aroma. Lovely chocolate head. Chocolate and mild burnt sugar taste. Thick body which goes thin, taste blends into slightly sticky bitterness.
