ladnewton (1325) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2013
Cask at the Wellington Hotel, Birmingham on 28th December 2013. Hazy copper with thin cream-coloured film and plenty of lacing. Yeasty and malty aromas. Touch of soapiness. Leafy hops, notes of sage and lemon in-mouth. Citric finish, slightly musty in an interesting rather than unpleasant sense. Generally tangy. Light in body and mouthfeel.

Cask@the avion, aldridge. Dark amber beer with medium head and decent lacing. Aroma of malts. Taste is malts, some fruit and a little unintentional smoke that actually improved the taste a little. Decent enough beer.

jmgreenuk (3591) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2013
Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear copper with a frothy white head. The aroma is a little malty, but weak. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, a little metallic, some malt and the bitterness hangs around into the aftertaste. A great session ale.

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours hazy amber brown with an off white head. Aroma of light malt, slightly roasted and caramel. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and over moderate bitter with a long bitter finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

BlackHaddock (3185) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2012
Hand pulled pint at the worst Wetherspoons I know (under where the Central Library, Birmingham used to be). Lunchtime on Saturday 7th July 2012. The beer poured a deep amber colour with an off-white head of foam sat proudly on top. Good thick lacing clung to the glass as the beer level fell after each gulp. Malts rule the roost in this semi-sweet smelling and tasting brew which I downed very quickly but had to move on, or i’d have had another and another etc, etc.

Pudding (163) - Birmingham, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2012 Try it again! My bottle poured correctly. A well-balanced, tasty, bitter with the accent on roasted or kilned malt. Would buy again. (bottle).

johndoughty (3716) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle. On the label it is called Foldcross but I assume that its the same beer. Doesn’t really matter as its pretty poor. Exploded out of the bottle on opening despite being kept properly.Big head that never dissipated -it was like drinking alcoholic foam. Some bitterness but it was hard to enjoy such a badly bottled beer.In hindsight my score is a bit too generous.
