COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Spring & Summer.
Another relative rarity in the real ale world ~ a clear wheat beer. This is a brilliantly astringent beer as a true wheat beer should be and in pulls off a real "double whammie" having a powerful continental bitterness as well.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Pallid straw gold pour with minimal head. Pretty muted hop character. Biscuity malts and some fruit, but all a bit restrained and ho hum. Reasonable enough guzzler but nothing special.

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
500ml Brown bottle conditioned UK brewed wheat beer poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass on 13 Apr 2012. The beer has a slight haze to its otherwise pale golden body. The head was thin and white in colour, getting thinner with every sip. Citrus hop aroma and taste: not a lot else really. Refreshing but somewhat lacking in depth and deep flavours.

Bottle 500ml.
Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy to none, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100119]

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of elderflower and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, elderflowers, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

DruncanVeasey (5138) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2009
Cask gravity, 2nd Hinckley Beer Festival. Full and vinous on top of the Noble; deep husky malts, punishing dryness, brighter headless gold, nibbles of compensating biscuit. Apple yeasty and heady orange fruit, smidgeon of oak, nil wheat (’clear wheat beer’?). Chewed dog toy, alcohol and nuts in the aroma. Astingent finish with little relief from the IBUs. Not a completely balanced experience, but some quality there, as always from Beowulf.
