COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Autumn. Previously occasional.
A dark quaffing beer. It is enjoyably fruity with a fabulous floral aroma.

Cask handpull, The Dragon, Worcester, 06/02/12. Glinting ruby under a slim beige top. Heavy at the strength with a coffee butter cream character; late praline, a wisp of smoke- possibly rauch. Neutral aroma with a dusting of coal and coffee. Bitter linger. Ordinary for a dark Beowulf.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Wig & Pen Northampton. A ruby coloured beer with a tight whitish head and lacing. This is very reminiscent of a Midlands mild. Sweet caramel and nutty notes throughout. Low hopping. A short finish. Easy drinking. A bit stronger than you’d expect from a Midlands mild. Pleasant enough.

Cask at the Bricklayer’s Arms, Putney. Fine malty sweetness, and a lovely flowery aroma. A generous use of hops makes this stand out.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2011 Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Dark brown. Strong tasting. Sweet malty mash, with sour finish. Not to my tastes necc. Heavy, sugary. (8/3/2006). RE-RATE: Hand pulled at the Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clearly a different beer nowadays. This was golden, with a froth top. Hoppy flavour for the most part, with a straw malt wash which dominates and then withdraws through the finish. Previously 3.1, now 3.4
