COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A traditional, golden bitter. A malty flavour married to a particularly pleasing bitterness bursting forth from the three hop varieties used.

Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. Green apple and grainy malt in the aroma. Rough sharp grainy dryness on the tongue. Slight raw malt flavour comes through.

On tap, pours light amber. Aroma and flavour of bitter hops, balanced by English caramel malts and woody characteristics. Not terrible.

Cask, Burton Winter Fest 07. Golden with a small head. Aromas are marmalade with lemon. Fairly malty with pepper. Flavours are malty and fruity with a bitter finish. Some pepper. Fairly decent.

Golden colour. Crisp apple aroma. As Kook and Duff have remarked, this beer may have been a touch green, but I didn’t find it unpleasant. Dry and a touch sharp. Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival 2005.

Big green apple aroma and flavour. Medium bodied. Not drinkable. Tasted raw and off to me.

[Cask conditioned] Golden coloured. Slightly sweet flavour. Quite thin and boring. Weak and rather unbalanced.

Cask Conditioned at The Charlton Arms, Ludlow. Pale golden beer with thinnish head. This has a tinny metallic backround of lightly roasted malt. The bitterness comes a little sour and rough at the end, rather unrefined.

Clear, pale-foxy. Slight head, dissipating. Nose with caramel, sweets, glimpse of hops. Taste caramel again, just fleeting hops with no discernible quality or aroma. Light to medium bodied, absolutely no carbonation. Oh well.
